The proceeds generated form the sales of the Research Set-Aside quota will then be utilized to fund the 2012 Atlantic Sea Scallop Research Set-Aside Program, a program which aims to enhance the knowledge of the scallop fishery resource and address scallop research priorities identified by the New England Fishery Management Council.
