The Australian Agency for International Development, more commonly known as AusAID, is the Australian Government's leading agency that is responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program which are all geared towards helping developing countries in their pursuit of eliminating poverty and achieving sustainable development.

The AusAID has recently partnered with the United States Agency for International Development(USAID), which is the United States government's major agency that is in-charge of administering the country's foreign civilian aid.

The activities and programs of the USAID are carefully guided by their overall agency mission which is to "support sustainable development: economic and social growth that does not exhaust local resources; that does not damage the economic, cultural, or natural environment; that permanently increases the cohesion and productive capacity of the society; and that builds local institutions that involve and empower the citizenry."

As a result of this partnership, the USAID and AusAID has constituted the development of the All Children Reading Competition Program, wherein they seek to discover life-changing innovations that will potentially improve the reading skills and low literacy levels among primary grade children.

In essence, the All Children Reading Competition Program is set to focus on improving the quality of teaching and increasing the availability of learning materials and educational data.
