In line with the agency's objectives, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing within the Department of Housing and Urban Development, has recently established a funding opportunity entitled Community Development Block Grant Program for Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages (ICDBG).

The Community Development Block Grant Program for Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages revolves around the notion of developing viable Indian and Alaska Native communities which includes the building of decent housing programs, sustainable living environments, and economic opportunities for all, with priority to low and moderate-income families.
