The Department of Health and Human Services is the main agency funding the Family Planning Services Grant. The HHS is also the country's primary agency tasked to protect the health of all Americans through the provision of essential human services to everyone, especially to those who are least capable of helping themselves.

The Family Planning Services Grant is essential to the HHS because it is very much in keeping with their agency's objective, which is to ensure the provision of essential human services to all Americans, especially vital family planning services that would help them plan and achieve their desired family situation today and in the future.
