Getting from point A to point B could be both the simplest and most complex issues to ever grace the existence of mankind. Though for the any government, especially the United States government which takes pride in the constantly ensuring the safety and welfare of its people, the issue of transportation is an entirely different story.

In order for a transportation system to work, a government must ensure that the most, if not all, of the key factors are considered. Number one on the list, is of course, safety. Which could also be followed by equally pressing concerns such as convenience, accessibility, availability, affordability, and the list just goes on and on.

In order to ensure that these aforementioned factors are considered, the United States Government has established an agency that is solely responsible for creating and sustaining a functional transportation system that can very well serve the needs of the people.
