The United States Government gives great importance to rates of employment in America. The government finds it essential to control and oversee occupational safety, wage and hour standards, unemployment insurance benefits, re-employment services, and some economic statistics.

In fact, the government has established a separate agency that is intended solely for this purpose.

In 1913, the United States Federal Government has constituted the creation of the United States Department of Labor, otherwise referred to as DOL.

The Department of Labor was primarily created to nurture, promote and develop the welfare of job seekers, wage earners, and retirees of the United States of America, as well as to improve the country's working conditions, advance employment opportunities and ascertain work-related rights and benefits.

For several decades, the DOL has been running programs and activities, conducting seminars and training sessions, which are all geared towards enabling the American people and helping them find job opportunities with ample benefits and reasonable wages.

In line with this, the Department of Labor has also constituted a wide selection of grant programs which are all designed to help the agency achieve its goals and objectives.

The grants and programs from the DOL are administered through several operating divisions, specifically;
