In 1977, the President of the United States of America signed the The Department of Energy Organization Act which mandated the creation of the United States Department of Energy, which more commonly known as DOE.

Since its establishment, the Department of Energy has been pioneering the exploitation of informative science in order to address the country's energy, environmental and nuclear challenges.

The DOE has established its laboratories and study centers but the agency constantly wants to form partnerships with independent researchers in an effort to dramatically improve our energy system.

That said, the DOE is offering funding opportunities and several forms of financial assistance to eligible third-party investigators that harness the potential of helping the agency realize its goals and objectives.
