The grants and programs of the CMS are all designed to contribute to the attainment of its general agency mission which is to ensure health care security for all its beneficiaries.

The Money Follows the Person (MFP) Rebalancing Demonstration Program possesses the ability to provide critical tools that can be utilized to address the gaps in the availability of community services for individuals with disabilities.

Furthermore, the programs gives the states the opportunity to serve more individuals in home and community-based settings and this can help them execute the integration mandate of the American Disability Act.
