Iola BonggayThe United States Geological Survey (USGS): Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center (NOROCK), is a local governmnent organization of the North Central Area of the Central Region of the USGS.
NOROCK's work revolves around diverse issues pertaining to global climate change, aquatic ecology, wildlife diseases, bison ecology, and large carnivores.
The mission of NOROCK is obtain, produce and disseminate scientific facts and information that are vital in managing and restoring ecosystems and associated plant and animal communities of Northern Rocky Mountain.
In line with its objective, NOROCK has recently announced a funding opportunity under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program.
The goal of the aforementioned funding opportunity is to jump-start research studies that address concerns regarding the effects of climate change on the hydrology and biota of northern Great Plains.
To fund this project, NOROCK has an estimated allocated budget amounting to $35,921 for the fiscal year 2012.
