As a result, the inquiry has provided the institute with details about the status of case attrition in large metropolitan areas.

In an attempt to support and ratify these information, the Office of Justice Programs intends to replicate the initiative to facilitate the better generalization of results and a deeper comprehension of the issues across and within concerned jurisdictions.

The Office of Justice Programs is ready to administer funds in the amount of $1,200,000 to financially support the activities involved under the initiative.

The institutions and organization who will be considered eligible to submit an application under the program are the following:

a) Nonprofit and for-profit organizations

b) Local government units

c) Federally-recognized Indian Tribal Governments

d) Institutions of Higher Education

e) Tribal Institutions of Higher Education
