US Environmental Protection Agency offers Greater Research Opportunities Fellowship for Undergraduate Environmental Studies

The US Environmental Protection Agency, also referred to as EPA, is a United States federal agency that looks after general human and environment health, thereby writing and enforcing rules and regulations based on the laws passed by the US Congress.



The agency focuses mainly on environmental assessment and research. Furthermore, the department is also known for taking part in a wide variety of voluntary pollution prevention programs and energy conservation efforts.



As a part of its environmentally-centered approach, the EPA has developed the Greater Research Opportunities Fellowship Program (GRO), wherein they give eligible students the opportunity to unravel the productive and fascinating world of science under acceptable and environment-friendly circumstances.




The US Environmental Protection Agency recently announced that as a part of their Greater Research Opportunities program, they are in turn offering Greater Research Opportunities undergraduate fellowships for students currently taking up environmentally-related studies at the undergraduate level.



The aforementioned fellowship grant offers the rather fortunate recipients an outstanding ability to acquire a higher degree of education by awarding them with a two-year undergraduate study and a three-month internship at an EPA facility, all in the course of two years.




The agency offers a maximum grant of $48,900, which is inclusive of a two-year academic fee of $39,400 (19,700 per academic year) and a three-month internship cost amounting to $9,500.
