Employment and Training Administration, otherwise referred to as ETA, is a federal government agency operating within the United States Department of Labor that's primarily responsible for contributing to the more efficient and effective functioning of the United States labor market.

The grants and programs of the ETA are all especially designed to contribute to the achievement of its general agency objective which is to promote pathways to economic liberty for individuals and families working to achieve the American Dream.
With this, the Employment and Training Administration has recently established the YouthBuild Grants Program in an effort to financially support organizations that seek to oversee the provision of education, occupational skills training, and employment services to disadvantaged youth in their communities while performing meaningful work and service to their communities.
In essence, YouthBuild is a youth and community development that program that is specially designed to simultaneously address address several core issues that affect low-income communities. These core issues include affordable housing, education, employment, crime prevention, and leadership development.
